Colds are mainly caused by viral infections and are divided into the common cold and influenza. Common cold is usually caused by rhinovirus, adenovirus, enterovirus and so on. It is generally not highly infectious and usually has no or only very mild systemic symptoms, mainly nasal symptoms, such as sneezing, stuffy nose, runny nose, sore throat, etc. 
Some may be accompanied by a moderate to low degree fever or a short period of high fever. Common cold is self-limited, and in the absence of serious complications, Symptoms usually resolve or disappear within 5 to 7 days.
