What is blood pressure?

Blood pressure is the pressure exerted on the walls of blood vessels as they flow through them. Normal blood pressure is a systolic blood pressure of 90 to 140mmHg and a diastolic blood pressure of 60 to 90 MMHG.

Hypertension is diagnosed if the systolic blood pressure is ≥140mmHg or the diastolic blood pressure is ≥90 MMHG.
